Husqvarna to display rail saw

Husqvarna Construction Products will be displaying its K 1260 railsaw, said to be the most powerful and lightest railsaw on the market. With the K 1260’s impressive 5.8kW of power and torque, cutting rail tracks becomes quick and easy work. It is equipped with the Active Air Filtration™ centrifugal air cleaning system that delivers up to a year’s operation without a filter change. It also has a highly efficient vibration dampening system, making the saw easy to handle, allowing the operator to make over 25 cuts through a standard rail profile before the AVL is reached.

The K 1260 is combined with the RA10 attachment, providing fast and stable mounting to the rail and ensuring a perfect right-angle

cut. It also has the advantage of double attachment mountings to enable cutting from both sides. The RA10 fits easily to standard rail profiles, and there is an optional RA10S for large (tram rail) profiles. The K 1260 railsaw model is also available with an integrated cut-out switch meeting LUL standards. Other equipment

shown will include the 365 Chainsaw and 545RX Brush cutter, both developed in close cooperation with professional users working in the most demanding conditions. The low weight and high power of the 365 Chainsaw are combined with a rugged engine, making it exceptionally versatile and suited to a wide variety of applications.

Robokatta automates rail cutting

Cembre will be exhibiting the Robokatta RDS-14P, the world’s first automatic rail disc saw, which now has Network Rail approval. Robust, powerful and designed with a perfectly perpendicular action for precise cutting, the 2- stroke Robokatta allows the operator to be away from the machine during the cutting phase, eliminating physical effort and exposure to vibration, harmful dust, sparks, exhaust fumes and noise.

The company says the Robokatta offers other significant advantages over existing rail saws including: “expert operator” cutting times and accuracy through rigorously engineered components, patented systems and features designed for operator convenience – optimised disc performance minimising consumption and delivering the greatest number of cuts, enhanced operator security and visibility, improved motor protection and a simplified

blade is ideal for the rail industry as it can be used for cutting wooden sleepers as well as alloy conductor rails.

The Prosafe range, which includes LED headlights, will be among products on display by Unilite. The firm says it is one of the world’s leading brands in the flashlight industry, using the highest specification components such as powerful LEDs from leading chip manufacturer CREE, and creating products suitable for all industries.
