Bridget Wasser, senior director of meat science and technology at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Associa-


tion (NCBA), was named one of the Top Ten Industry Leaders for 2013 by Cattle Business Weekly. Wasser is responsible for managing beef checkoff research efforts


to improve beef’s quality, taste and consistency.


Vermeer Corporation announced in October that Jason Andringa has transitioned to the role of presi-


dent. Andringa is responsible for the Forage and Environ- mental Solutions groups.


Jackson Walker law fi rm partner Ed Small received the Excellence in Agriculture award for private prac-


tice from the American Agricultural Law Association. The award is presented each year to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to agricultural law in a variety of areas, including legal representation, con- tinuing legal education, professionalism, pro bono ser- vice, public education programming, classroom teaching, public policy, public service, and leadership.


TSCRA Director Missy Bonds, Saginaw, was pre- sented with the Mitzi Lucas Riley Award at the 2013


National Cowgirl Hall of Fame induction luncheon. This award recognizes young adults who promote Western heritage in the community through edu- cation and volunteerism. Bonds is Bonds Ranch assistant gen- eral manager and export pro- gram manager. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics and fi nance and a masters degree in animal science and ruminant nutrition. She also received her certifi cate in ranch man- agement from Texas Christian University.
