Workington Stadium Proposed stadium for Workington soccer and rugby league and possibly speedway. Requires council funding from sale of land. Cost: Cost £12m


York Community Stadium  League Club, York City Athletics Club. York Council is  (Stadium Tsar: Tim Atkins). Developer: Oakgate. Capacity 6,000 (2,000 seats)

National stadium. Addis Ababa Coffee bean shaped stadium and sports village. Athletics track, aquatics centre, residential village, sports halls, arenas, retail and commercial zones and the headquarters of the Federal Sport Commission. Tenants: Cornish Pirates, Truro City Football Club, Truro College, Cornwall College and the Royal Cornwall Hospital. Council no longer offering funds. Outline planning granted. Feasibility study: Gardiner and Theobald. Capacity 10,000 Cost £14m


Wakefield Trinity Stadium Stadium for the Rugby League Wildcats and 100-acre business park near Stanley. Previous project was referred to the UK Secretary of State, which was a blow to receiving a Super League licence. Developer: Yorkcourt Properties. Capacity 12,000 Cost £19m


Watford: Vicarage Road Club is regularly exceeding 15,000 crowds and so has decided to develop East Stand (3,000 with option for more). VIP also being built into South West corner. Design and construction: GL Events. Capacity 24,000 (+3,000) Cost £32.5m


Wimbledon AFC stadium Club hopes to develop Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium. House buyer to take over current site. Discussions with  Capacity 11,000 Cost £16m


Wolverhampton: Molineux Stadium Three phase expansion to 35,700 for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. First phase demolition and replacement of the Stan Cullis (North) Stand with two-tier stand (£16m). Second phase of Steve Bull stand on hold until funds available. Construction: Buckingham Group (Kevin  Architect: AFL (masterplan). Capacity 31,700 (28,500)

FRANCE Bordeaux: Stade Atlantique


Evry-Essonne: National Rugby Stadium Proposal for national stadium on site 25km south of Paris. Permission granted to purchase the development site. Competitive dialogue opened for build and maintain contract. Developer: French Rugby Federation (FFR). Retractable roof and removable pitch. Architects: Populous and Ateliers 2/3/4. Events: 17-20. Capacity 82,000 Cost €600m

Lens: Stade Felix Bollaert  City of Lens. Operator: Racing Club de Lens. Capacity 40,113 Cost €111.2m


Lyon: Stade des Lumières Planned 50-acre development for soccer club Olympique Lyonnais, with training centre, two hotels. Will host matches of Euro 2016. In Decines-Charpieu area of city. Octagonal stadium will have transparent roof. Developer: OL Group (director general Patrick Iliou). OL Group and Vinci are negotiating contract for construction/operation.  30-35. Parking: 7,000. Architect: Populous. Capacity 57,628


Marseille: Stade Velodrome  focused on spectator facilities, especially for corporates. Separate rugby stadium alongside. Funding: Public private  Capacity 65,000 Cost €151.1m

Nancy: Stade Marcel Picot  games of Euro 2016. Owner: Community of Grand Nancy. Operator: AS Nancy Lorraine. Capacity 31,973 Cost €60m

Paris: Arena 92 Stadium  western suburbs of Paris has secured funding. Includes  Capacity 32,000 (rugby), 41,000 (concerts) Cost €300m

Paris: Parc des Princes  games of Euro 2016. PSG wants 60,000 capacity in new stadium. Owner: City of Paris. Operator: SESE. Capacity 50,000 (40,058) Cost €70-90m


For Girondins de Bordeaux. Piling and early construction underway. Operator: Stade Bordeaux Atlantique. Design, build, operate: Vinci Concessions, Vinci Construction and  Finance: 30-year PPP contract. Will host matches of Euro 2016. Owner: City of Bordeaux. Business seats: 3,000. Loges: 1,000. Capacity 43,000 Cost €200m

Paris: Roland Garros Enlarging, modernising and rethinking of the historic Roland Garros site at Porte d’Auteuil. French Tennis Federation chose to stick with Roland Garros. Area: 35 acres. Courts: 35 outside. New 5,000-seat stadium and  redesigned and feature a retractable roof. Cost €273m
