FIVE SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE IDEAS FOR CONNECTING WITH CLIENTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS
Tis’ the Season...
I love the holiday season, but I had no idea what to think when Christmas items appeared at Costco before the end of August! In reality, it was just another reminder to me to start planning for our clients. Not only do I have to shop for four kids and a husband, but our best clients as well! Does that feeling ever overwhelm you? If so, here are a few ideas to help get you started.
THANKSGIVING PIES Every year, we call our clients and invite them to come
to our office the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to pick up a pumpkin or apple pie. Who doesn’t love a free pie? This is a fantastically fun event with a high return on invest- ment. We email out an invitation and call through our data base to invite our clients to come out and pick up a pie of their choice. We purchase our pies from Costco or BJ’s for $6–8 each. Clients come to our office (or home) from 3:00–8:00 pm on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to pick up their pie. Some people stay for 30 seconds and others stay for three hours! We have cider, coffee and some munchies, and it turns into a great client party! However, it’s not about the pie. The gift is your time and interaction with your clients. I even call my out-of-state

clients to let them know that I wish they could stop in to pick up a pie. It’s all about the personal touch and the re- minder that you are available to serve them or anyone they know with their real estate related needs.
GIFT WRAP During the holiday season, I always travel with rolls of
gift wrap in my car. Some giftwrap for Hanukah, some for Christmas and some generic seasonal. On each of them is a little tag that reads, “Just wanted to ‘WRAP UP’ the year by thanking you for your continued support and re- ferrals! We’re never too busy to serve you and those you care about.” You can purchase gift wrap anywhere, including the dollar store. You can do an all day blitz and deliver wrap-
