Since then, more than 10,000 Zambonis have been
delivered around the globe. To recognize the major im- pact the machine has had on the skating world, Frank Zamboni was inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. T e Zamboni has even transcended the world of ice
sports and made its way into popular culture. Not only is there a band named after the machine and songs written about it, but it has also appeared in such TV shows as “Cheers” and “CSI.” In addition, the Zamboni has been referenced more than 50 times in the Peanuts comic strip, and a Google doodle was created to commemorate Frank Zamboni’s birthday. T is year marks the 65th anniversary of the Zam-
boni ice resurfacer. T e revolutionary machine continues to work its magic on the ice, so skaters everywhere can work theirs.
