USA TRIATHLON ANNOUNCES DATE FOR 2014 AGE GROUP NATIONALS
USA Triathlon’s Age Group National Championships will return to Milwaukee, Wis., on Aug. 9-10, 2014, the organization announced Oct. 1.
The 2013 event, also held in Milwaukee near Discovery World and the Milwaukee Art Museum, drew a record field of more than 4,000 competitors from all 50 states, ranging in age from 15 to 89. Participation in the event has more than doubled since 2010.
“Milwaukee proved to be an excellent host in 2013 and the support from the city, as well as key organizations and individuals, helped make the event memorable for nation’s top amateur triathletes,” said Rob Urbach, USA Triathlon’s Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to continuing this relationship to provide an even more exceptional race experience in August 2014.”

Elite triathletes from the Americas and Caribbean nations will gather for the 2014 ITU Pan American Triathlon Confederation (PATCO) Championships on May 31-June 1 in Dallas, Texas.
Athletes from 38 National Federation members of PATCO, including top athletes from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Cuba and others will be represented at the event.
In making the announcement, Jaime Cadaval, PATCO Secretary General said, “We look forward to returning our Championships to the U.S. next year, especially to the internationally-recognized Dallas area that has been supporting triathlon events now for over 30 years.”
The elite draft-legal Olympic-distance races will highlight an exciting weekend of activities in Dallas, which has hosted ITU Pan American Cup events the past two years. Juniors, U23 athletes and age-groupers are also expected to compete. The event will also serve as the PATCO Paratriathlon Championships and the site will act as the host of the 2014 PATCO Congress.
