WTM BUYERS’ CLUB Making the most of your opportunities at WTM


Raj Thakkar, Marketing & WTM Buyers’ Club Manager, describes how members can make the most of their opportunities at WTM 2013.


What networking opportunities are there for members at WTM? Firstly, there is the WTM Speed Networking session on Monday before the exhibition opens. Last year over 860 buyers and 300 exhibitors started negotiations at WTM Speed Networking. There is also a pre-scheduled event – A Taste of ILTM at WTM – where 60 buyers will meet up to 60 luxury exhibitors to conduct 20 minute pre-scheduled meetings over the two days. On Wednesday, there is an informal networking reception for buyers and exhibitors to meet and discuss deals. Finally, there is a speed networking opportunity to conclude the event on Thursday.


What are the member benefits? Firstly, there are the two dedicated WTM Buyers’ Club lounges


What is the WTM Buyers’ Club? The WTM Buyers’ Club (formerly known as Meridian Club) is for the


global travel industry’s senior buyers; 70% of members will come from a tour operator/travel agent or wholesaler background. It has a global membership of more than 14,000 and a reputation for generating genuine business leads via international and regional senior level buyers and decision makers.
