What gets you into trouble?

Welcome to my second column within the Clyde Life Magazine. My name is Derek Watters, Head PGA Professional at Gourock G.C. I have been Head

pro at Gourock for 6½ years and a Professional for over 15 years.

For all golfers who are members of our local clubs you will now all be reaching the stage of the season where you have either reduced your handicap or gone up the way. This is the time to decide what parts of your game needs some work and set some goals for season 2014.

Be honest, is your short game & putting losing you shots?, or is it the driver that gets you into most trouble?. We are here 12 months of the year to work on your game, but it would be great to decide NOW what you would

like to improve on over the winter. Let me help you work out a plan to

improve your game, come for a meeting where we will decide on a programme, including capturing the swing and set-up on the iPad. In store right now I have many amazing bargains including huge savings on all Taylor Made clubs and bags. R1 is now down to £239 and bags from £59, call or pop in to grab these before they sell out.

The SALE continues on Callaway & Odyssey clubs Adidas Shoes and includes huge clothing savings on Galvin Green, Lyle & Scott & Sunderland. The Professional shop is OPEN to the public 365 days a year. We are located next to the 1st tee at Gourock Golf Club. Please feel free to come in and visit. If you would like to contact me please call the professional shop on 01475-636834 or email pro@gourockgolfclub.com
