CP’s Controls Reduce Running Costs for
West Dorset District Council
P Electronic’s Vitesse Plus and Vitesse Modular lighting control systems have been installed to great effect in the impressive new offices of West Dorset District Council. The council has moved from its previous location of Stratton House to smaller and more energy efficient offices called South Walks House in Dorchester, Dorset.
C The new building has
helped the council immediate reduce its running costs and its impact on the environment. CP’s Vitesse Plus Lighting Distribution System offering presence detection daylight linking has been used on all four office floors, whilst Rapid LCM was chosen for use in the committee rooms. Four of the committee rooms are divided by partitioning and have been provided with scene setting and micro switches to enable them to function as individual or larger rooms. Vitesse Plus PIR has also been installed to provide presence detection with daylight linking throughout, whilst offering flexibility for future changes as the system has been installed using ‘plug and play’.

The Blade20 features Gill’s patented induction technology allowing for measurement of linear, shallow-arc and non-uniform movement. With core electronics 40% smaller than previous generations, Blade 20 offers 12- bit resolution capable of data sampling at speeds up to 15 KHz. Unaffected by dirt, water, oil ingress and other harsh chemicals, Blade20 is able to work in temperatures from -40ºC to well-over 100ºC. Blade20 is well suited to a range of demanding industrial applications which require long term reliability and high accuracy measurement. The latest sensor is resistant to parasitic measurement errors and drift caused by vibration, thermal variance and interference from neighbouring electrical sources. The solid state sensor is currently offered with 0.5-4.5V and 0.5-10V outputs and a 4-20mA variant is planned for release later this Year.
