euroLED Review

Spirit Circuits “Spirit Circuits had a great time at euroLED 2013, in what was the show’s tenth year of celebrating LED technology. As always, euroLED was a great place to meet and discuss current contracts with existing customers, and the show also saw the Spirit team walk away securing two new customers. The Hampshire-based PCB manufacturer enjoyed the gala dinner, an event dubbed ‘the social highlight of euroLED’ – it’s always a glam bash and it was great to network with peers, speakers, fellow exhibitors and visitors from the show. Spirit’s Technical Sales Managers, Les Round and Pete Dobromylski, and their Area Sales Manager, Pat Mannion, attended the euroLED conference. All three praised the seminars for their great content, agreeing each of the informative sessions offered something of value to delegates. euroLED was also an excellent opportunity for Spirit to announce their new product line, ‘Thermal Interface Material’. Spirit has recently purchased a state of the art CNC cutting machine and will be offering Thermal Interface Material (TIM) cut and supplied to customers exact requirements. The new service is called GET TIM and will be available from August 1st 2013.” www.spiritcircuits.com

Recolight Ltd “From 24th-25th June, Recolight, the UK’s compliance scheme for the lighting industry, was at euroLED to speak to producers of LEDs who were new to market and help them learn about how to be compliant with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations. With the growing popularity of LEDs, and significant changes to the Regulations in the pipeline, it is important that LED producers are made aware of their current and changing obligations. Producers were keen to hear from Nigel Harvey, Chief Executive of Recolight, who gave a well-received presentation and Q&A on the upcoming changes and how they are likely to affect LED producers.” www.recolight.co.uk

Ecopac Power “The new Mean Well DALI range of 40 watt and 60 watt LCM series drivers were very well received, these multiple stage constant current power supplies have built in DALI interface and push dimming functions. Dr Wen Wu LED specialist for Mean Well who gave a presentation on ‘The future of LED Driver Specification’ is pictured on the Ecopac stand with the latest in Mean Well drivers and power supplies. As well as presenting on developments in DALI Dimming, Dr Wen Wu spent time on the Ecopac Power stand discussing the new ranges of the PLM series 12 watt to 40 watt drivers and the HBG series of 96 watt to 240 watt circular power supplies specifically designed for High Bay lighting.” www.ecopacpower.co.uk
