8. Pixled displayed a 3D “sculpture” of 50mm diameter LED baubles in a grid which was quite mesmeric. Suitable for the corporate installation and very decorative. They also displayed a small pitch LED screen showing high quality images, so the lighting and AV aspect of LED was displayed at the two closest extremes of the different genre. www.pixled.com

9. LTH showed two very neat LED projection units for Gobos; the CL LED 2125 with rotators and its baby brother, plus a substantial range of LED washlights, and display lighting. www.lth-gmbh.de

10. From Studio Due, iconic light fitting Citycolor has had a makeover after 15 years of being one of the most powerful architectural lighting washlights available. The New Citycolor LED has a light output similar to the 2500 watt version, depending on colour used and comes with barndoors and an egg-box louvre. www.studiodue.com

11. Famous Italian TV and film lighting company De Sisti had a beautifully crafted range of 40 watt, 90 watt, and 120watt, LED replacement luminaires proving that LEDs really have come of age as a serious lighting instrument. www.desisti.it

Lots to see, too many stands to mention, an array of very upbeat sales personnel, and the bars and restaurants doing a roaring trade; ‘yes’ Frankfurt, see you next year!
