new range of forward curved centrifugal fans designed to simplify specification across
multiple projects and promote prompt order fulfillment has been introduced by Air Control Industries (ACI). The fans, designated the ‘H Range’ (Homogeneous), are based upon a common, scalable configuration. This permits engineers to become rapidly familiar with the fans, their space demands and application capabilities. The fans cover a wide performance range with small increments between range models ensuring accurate fulfillment of duty specification. ACI’s H fans are direct driven units with motor ranging from 0.18 to 22kW, delivering flow rates up to 6000m3hr (3600 CFM), and pressures up to 40mBAR (14in. Swg). Standard options include 1 and 3-phase versions with 2 or 4 pole Metric/NEMA motors. Housings can be supplied in sheet steel (powder coated black as standard), stainless steel (304 or 316), or aluminium.

in hazardous environments of Zones 0 and 1. NAMUR sensors and optocouplers as well as mechanical contacts and other actuating elements can all be connected. Short circuits and wire breaks can be evaluated separately from one another either optically (LED), or on the basis of the process data (process map). LED diagnosis can also be de-activated for contact monitoring via the control byte. Each sensor is supplied with a short-circuit-protected 8.2 V supply. The WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM is designed for installation in non-hazardous
areas or in Zone 2/22. The system integrates sensors and actuators via intrinsically safe Ex i modules in Zones 0/20 and 1/21, without additional devices, such as Zener barriers or isolating amps. The saturation indicators are blue when the humidity adsorber is dry and turn pink when the maximum amount of moisture has been adsorbed. The silica gel humidity adsorbers can be reactivated for re-use, by heating them at 100ºC (212ºF) for 4 hours in a ventilated oven. Molecular sieve adsorbers maintain an ultra-low relative humidity for extremely sensitive applications and cannot be reactivated.
