As Smythson celebrates 125 impressive years, we look to the future of the luxury leather goods and stationery brand

t has been a busy few months for leading British leather goods specialist Smythson. To coincide with the brand’s 125th anniversary in September 2012, there


has been signifi cant investment in systems and infrastructure and a new store concept has been rolled out. All of which has been overseen by new chief executive offi cer Andy Janowski, who has hit the ground running since his appointment in May 2012. Since joining the company, following six years as senior vice president of supply chain and chief operations offi cer at Burberry and multiple managerial roles in the Gap Group, Janowski has been an indispensible force behind the brand’s growing global presence. “T e opportunity to join such an iconic British
