elcome to the April issue of A1 Retail!

What an amazing month we have had here at A1 HQ. We headed off to West London for the spectacular Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE). Once again, Earls Court was packed with the latest retail technology on offer to the industry. I visited as many exhibitors as I possibly could and I was truly amazed by what is available in this sector. With so many advances in the last couple of years, I do wonder what will be next? I can’t wait to find out!

After recovering from RBTE, we then packed our bags and headed off to Paris to see what their stores had to offer. Look out in future issues of A1 Retail magazine, to see who we visited and what we found out!

Also this month, I was also lucky enough to stay at The Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds. If you get the chance for a few days away, I would highly recommend (read more about this on page 76).

In this issue, we speak to industry professionals about how they see the future of retail,

we find out what the Sign & Digital UK show has to offer its visitors for 2013 and we walk through a day in the shoes of Simon Horseman, Recruitment Director at Straco International. We also have some fabulous retail projects this month and a whistle‐stop tour of Retailing for the Senses. What you see, hear, smell and feel when you are in a store can make a big difference to the overall retail experience. Last but by no means least, we are proud to bring you our yearly bound‐in VM and Display Show supplement. Here at A1 Retail magazine, we love this event! With a total rebrand this year and many new features, we cannot wait until 16th April when the Business Design Centre will open its doors to the wonderful world of Visual Merchandising. We will be there on our stand G10 throughout the event ‐ do pop by and say hi! Hopefully see you there.

Happy reading!
