There are many changes and additions planned for the 2013 VM and Display Show, so we thought we would put them all together in one jam-packed page to give you everything you need to know to make the most of your visit to this highly anticipated event.

w w Student Challenge


Colleges have been invited to compete in the student challenge at the VM and Display Show 2013. The four student finalists finished schemes will be on display during the show and judged on the second day by Sarah Southgate from Harrods with the winner receiving a placement within Harrods. This is an amazing prize for any up and coming design student!


A Century of Inspiration


A Century of Inspiration is a feature set up in the main exhibition hall, where visitors will be able to view windows from the early 1900's to present. We are really looking forward to viewing this ourselves‐ it will be interesting to see how store windows have evolved over the past 100 years!


Its not all Black and White


This feature is explaining the importance of colour. This is being put together by the famous design practice FITCH. Colour plays an important role in Visual Merchandising and Display‐ this feature is definitely a must‐see!

Creative Avant Garde Creative Avant Garde will feature a selection of companies especially chosen to show their creative talents that are not usually seen at exhibitions and therefore should not be missed!


Fun Cocktail Bar


The fun cocktail bar will feature a mix of branded cocktails from exhibitors of the VM and Display Show. If you enjoy a ‘tipple’ then the fun cocktail bar sounds like its worth a visit!


Industry Associations


This year will see the return of the SDEA along with some new association exhibitors.
