www.pfascotland.co.uk PLAYER AVAILABILITY
As we approach the end of the season, PFA Scotland would like to remind players that should they find themselves without a club then they can make their availability known via our website. The Player Availability section simply lists the player’s name, date of birth, position and previous club and should a club or clubs express an interest in a player as a result of their details being visible on our site, we simply put the two parties in contact. As an organisation we are regularly contacted by clubs across a variety of levels and from across different countries, therefore if any player is looking
to maximise their employment opportunities in a football sense then using our Player Availability section is well worth considering. Should any player wish to have their details listed or to discuss this feature further then please contact Jack Ross on 07540 636766 or jack@
pfascotland.co.uk or Stuart Lovell on 07989 330365 or
stuart@pfascotland.co.uk
Furthermore, the SFL (Scottish Football League) website has provided tremendous support in this area. Please contact Craig Stewart on 07948 359047 or

COACHING PATHWAY CHANGES EXPLAINED
As mentioned in the previous newsletter, there have been recent changes to the SFA Coaching Pathway that all players considering coaching as a future career should be aware of. With this in mind PFA Scotland spoke with Donald Park, Head of Coach Education at the Scottish FA to offer some explanation and clarity to players. “The reason for the change to the coaching pathway is that the SFA has brought its structure into
alignment with that of UEFA. We also believe that the changes are better for players as they don’t have to make a specific choice at the outset of their coaching career unless they want to specialise in children’s coaching.”
Donald was also happy to give his thoughts on the recent bespoke player coaching courses. “These courses have been very successful and offer great opportunity for players to undertake their qualifications during the season. Whether more of these courses are made available will depend very much on numbers and commitment.”
