Manufacturing Systems for Precision Metal Components
Turning Down the Costs VL 2 PICK-UP VERTICAL TURNING MACHINE
Increased productivity while minimizing the fl oor space required that is what you get with the vertical, fully automated VL 2 turning machine from EMAG.
This is where it all comes together, this CNC vertical turning machine requires very little fl oor space, is easy to operate and loads itself with an integrated automatic loading system. The user can set up the machine in a single step without the need for robots or portals. High quality components and typical EMAG vertical machining also ensure superior machining quality.
Conclusion: An extremely productive vertical turning machine with high quality components which is very fl exible to use.

EMAG VL 2 P: the Idle Time Killer
Short idle times: the VL 2 P stops just 1.5 seconds for the workpiece changeover. Two working spindles are used for this purpose: while the fi rst spindle machines one workpiece, the second spindle loads itself automatically using the pick-up method.
The machine is great when it comes to workpieces that require short machining times. The main crite- rion for assessing the economy of a machining process is the ratio between machining time and idle time.
