Marcus Roeder, CVPM, MBA, will be the new practice manager director on the AAHA Board of Directors. A certified veterinary practice manager and gradu- ate of AAHA’s Veterinary Management Institute, Marcus received his executive MBA from the University of Colorado and has been the owner and hospital administrator of Dublin Animal Hospi-


tal in Colorado Springs, Colo., since 1993. He has also been the CEO of Phoenix Development Group, a business development and management consulting company, since 2002. Marcus is active in his community, volunteering for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Pikes Peak Humane Society and as a youth soccer coach.

Top veterinary practices celebrated AAHA awarded the fourth-annual


AAHA-Accredited Practice of the Year Awards during the AAHA Phoenix 2013 yearly conference. The awards ceremony took place during the conference’s open- ing session on March 14. The goal of the AAHA-Accredited Prac-


tice of the Year award is to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of accredited-practice teams. Entries were evaluated on their most recent accreditation score, mission and vision, practice design, practice team composition, continuing edu- cation and training, community service and compliance improvement efforts. Congrat- ulations to all the winners!
