One of the RDC’s survives and funds are being sought for its restoration by the Pacific Rail- road Society. The last show before the dinner break was Hauptbahnhof — The Railroads of Germany by Bruce Blackader. From a technical standpoint, this show was about as close to perfection as a multi-media show can get, and from an entertainment stand- point this show also got very good reviews. For many it was the highlight of Winterail.

After dinner came the annual induction into the Winterail Hall of Fame. The Hall honors people who have made a significant contribution to western railroad photogra- phy, and its past inductees are certainly a who’s who of the genre — Walker, Kistler, Steinheimer and Benson are only a few names that are in. This year’s inductee is the first woman to make the list, Shirley Bur- man. Shirley has documented railroaders, with an emphasis on women in railroading, and certainly is a deserving recipient of the award. Shirley joins her late husband,
