David Philp – Head of BIM Implementation, Cabinet Office, London Building Information Modelling - How the Government Sees It David graduated in the early nineties and straight away joined Balfour Beatty as a graduate engineer. He advanced through the company,
becoming director of technical services and, latterly, BIM programme director. David’s enthusiasm lies in highlighting the potential of new technologies and how we interact with them to bring added value to our customers and unlock new ways of working throughout the entire life- cycle. David is passionate about our industry, and perceives BIM as being a catalyst for reform. An early adopter of practical change and purposeful collaboration, David is currently seconded to the Cabinet Office’s Efficiency and Reform Group where is head of BIM Implementation.
Paul Zuccherelli, BSc MRICS – Director, head of retail, Davis Langdon, an AECOM company Building Information Modelling – The Future for Contractors? Paul is the head of retail for Davis Langdon Europe and
oversees a 100-strong team focused on the retail sector. In addition Paul leads business intelligence for the Davis Langdon business. Paul has worked with both retailers
and retail developers, and his project experience includes cost planning, procurement and cost management for a variety of projects. He is a trained value management and risk management facilitator, and has led many studies. As lead of business intelligence, Paul
oversees knowledge management, best practice and data analysis.
Geoff Meads – CEDIA The Future of Home Automation and Intuitive Buildings
Geoff Meads is a respected technical trainer with more than 20 years’ experience in the home technology sector. He’s worked for some of the most
notable brands in the world, including Dutch electronics giant Philips and hi-fi specialists Arcam. He now owns Presto AV, a web design and technical training agency working mainly with technology companies. Geoff enjoys a deep technical
knowledge and embraces the demands of modern business. He’s taught for CEDIA for nearly 10 years and is a key member of the CEDIA Education Council.
Terry Rowbury – Director of energy and installation sectors, BEAMA Smart Opportunities for Smart Contractors
Terry Rowbury joined BEAMA in 2009 and is currently the director of energy and installation sectors. Terry’s ongoing role within BEAMA is underpinned by his
career of more than 40 years’ working in the energy sector. This includes 28 years in the electricity supply industry on a wide range of activities, including: distribution networks; tariffs; metering; electrical contracting; servicing; marketing and business development. Immediately prior to joining BEAMA,
Terry worked for 11 years at the Energy Saving Trust where he was responsible for managing a range of project teams to develop and deliver significant work programmes funded by government and energy suppliers to help meet the UK’s climate change objectives.
Alexis Grenon – EcoStruxure Program vice president, Schneider Electric Alexis Grenon joined Schneider Electric in 2005 as the head of the global Energy Efficiency Solution business. From 2008 to 2012, Alexis moved to India to develop
the local Solution Center, responsible for tendering and execution activity related to installed base services and turnkey projects. In April 2012, Alexis was appointed EcoStruxure Program vice president.
Emma Clancy – CEO, Certsure Group Together We’re Better – The Electrical Safety Register and Certsure Group As CEO of Ascertiva Group, Emma was a key player in establishing the partnership with the ECA, which has led to a combined certification business,
Certsure, and the establishment of the Electrical Safety Register. Prior to working with Ascertiva Group Emma ran her own business and has worked for a variety of blue chip organisations including Which? magazine, Royal Bank of Scotland and Marks and Spencer.
Ben Fogle – Television presenter and adventurer
A popular television presenter and adventurer, Ben first appeared on TV in groundbreaking BBC millennium project Castaway, spending a year marooned on
the island of Taransay in the Outer Hebrides. Since then, Ben has led teams of
would-be explorers on the journey of a lifetime for Extreme Dreams and Extreme Andes, testing each to the limit in some of the world’s harshest environments. His other TV credits range from Countryfile and Animal Park to films recording Prince William’s visit to Botswana, and a month spent in Scott’s hut in the Antarctic. Ben also teamed up with double Olympic oarsman James Cracknell for the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race – crossing 2,935 miles of dangerous water between San Sebastien and Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua. The pair have since raced to the South Pole and ridden a rickshaw non-stop from Edinburgh to London.
