Denmark’s DPA Soundco deployed its Coda AudioAIRLINE LA12 system for Elton John’s Resenlund Parken performance in front of a 10,000-strong crowd. Ulrik Rasmussen, DPA Soundco project manager and system designer for the concert, specified a combination of 28 LA12 cabinets and 16 SCP subs supplemented by eight Coda SC8 sensor controlled subs.

Ellie Goulding has switched to a DPAd:facto vocal microphone after trying it for the first time at the Sound of Change concert, on recommendation from Adlib Audio’s Dave Kay. DPA’s UK distributor Sound Network was able to arrange a demo just prior to the concert, which impressed Goulding’s FOH engineer Oz Bagnall and monitor engineer James Neale enough to buy one.

Warsaw-based rental company GMB Pro Sound provided Poland’s first Meyer SoundLEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system for the Heineken Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland during the first weekend of July. The system – purchased from Polsound – includes 48 LEO-M line array loudspeakers, 36 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements and a Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system with eight Galileo Callisto 616 array processors.

RENTAL PRO is the first rental company in the Czech Republic to adopt the Nexo STM modular line array, having debuted its newly purchased 24-set system at the Vysocina Festival in Jihlava earlier in July. For the three-day multi-genre
event, Rental Pro provided the main stage with a STM system using 12 sets of M46 main and B112 bass cabinets
per side, with 12 S118 subs ground stacked on each side. “When we saw and heard
STM for the first time, we were so surprised by the unique modular concept that now we can’t imagine a future for our business without the system,” said Rental Pro’s Roman Zezula. “We have some GEO T in
our inventory, which is phenomenal for classical music and open-air events, but STM will be our new solution for rock productions,” added Zezula.
