SSE supplies an L-Acoustics first

By Erica Basnicki

NOTTINGHAM-BASED On Event Production (OEP) has chosen SSE Audio Group to supply its first L-Acoustics system. The company, which provides

production services for both corporate and live events, invested in a mixture of L-Acoustics ARCS WIDE and XT cabinets. OEP’s operation director

Paul White commented: “This investment in the L-Acoustics XT

(L-R): OEP’s Paul White,

Peter Copeland and production engineer Jethro Sigley

and new ARCS WIDE ranges keeps our stock at the leading edge of audio technology and will enable us to create versatile and scalable high-quality audio systems for our clients in both the corporate and live music sectors.” The L-Acoustics package supplied to OEP included eight ARCS WIDE, eight SB18M Subs, eight LA8 amplified controllers, eight 8XT and 12 12XT. Alex Penn, SSE sales director, described the sale: “Paul, along with On’s production and hire manager Pete Copeland visited our Redditch HQ and we were able to call on our hire inventory to set up a demo of the systems. On hearing the boxes, Paul and Pete were most impressed, concluding they were more than capable of meeting On Event Production’s needs. All that remained then was to specify the required packaging from Sigma Fabrications to make the system road ready.”n www.l-acoustics.com www.lovingitlive.co.uk www.sseaudiogroup.com

ICELAND

ICELAND’S OF Monsters and Men rely on a package of Sennheiser microphones and in-ear monitors to deliver performances that are meant, as they say, “to be fun to sing along to”.

FOH engineer Richie Dempsey has been working with the band for almost a year. In addition to a recently

purchased e 945, Dempsey is also using wired Sennheiser microphones on the band’s instruments and backline, including e 904s and an e 901 on the drum kit, a 604 and an MD 421 on the bass guitar amplifier and swapping between an e 609 on the guitar amp.n
