technologynew products SHURE SE846
What is it? Sound isolating earphones featuring Quad High-Definition MicroDrivers with a three-way system configuration for dedicated low, mid and high frequency distribution.
Details: The patent-pending design of the SE846 includes a low-pass filter
that enables ~3dB low-end roll-off at 90Hz (~10dB at 250Hz). Ten precision-welded, stainless steel plates
form 4” of high acoustic mass pathway, naturally enabling low frequency roll-off to begin at about 75Hz without distortion or artifacts.
Quad High-Definition MicroDrivers with True Subwoofer produce extended high-end clarity and unparalleled low-end performance. Four custom-engineered, balanced armature drivers are tailored to blend precisely with each other. The SE846 provides a combination of sound signatures, isolation and quality, in an in-ear design. Lightweight with a low profile shape, the SE846 offers three changeable nozzles
RADIAL ENGINEERING PREMAX
What is it? A combination preamp and three-band equaliser module for the 500 series format.
Details: The PreMax begins with a low-noise Op-Amp input coupled with Radial’s Accustate gain control that simultaneously sets the input sensitivity and signal gain to deliver ultra-quiet performance at all levels. Visual monitoring is supported with LEDS for signal and overload. The preamp then feeds a traditional three-band shelving EQ for tone shaping. A front panel switch enables the user to bypass the EQ to compare the pre-post effect. This is augmented with a high-pass filter to eliminate low-end resonance that can cause a recorded track to sound muddy. A 180˚ polarity reverse works double duty to either help align stereo mic placement or to help tame acoustic hot spots when using the PreMax in a live stage setting. For safety, the 48V phantom power switch is recessed to prevent accidental turn-on which could damage tweeters or vintage ribbon microphones. When used with a Radial Workhorse power rack, the Omniport jack is configured as an
allowing users to customise the listening experience by selecting the nozzle insert with the preferred frequency response – available in balanced, warm and bright options.
And another thing: A detachable cable for easy replacement and an accessories package that includes three pairs of disposable black foam sleeves, three pairs of soft flex sleeves and a carrying case are also included.

AMADEUS UDX SERIES
What is it? A relaunch of Amadeus’ passive speakers – 30 years after their original release.
Details: Consisting of four models, the UDX Series is adapted to sound reinforcement applications in concert halls, auditoriums, conference rooms, and theatres. Designed to be included within fixed or long- lasting installations, each UDX speaker system can also be used in touring applications as a stage monitor when fitted with optional accessories.
The UDX 8 and UDX 10 systems host a coaxial driver with 8”, or 10” respectively, woofer and 1” tweeter with compression driver. The UDX 12 and UDX 15 systems host a coaxial driver with 12”, or 15” respectively, woofer and 2” tweeter with compression driver. Each of the new speakers integrate with the
CLEAR-COM RS-701
What is it? The first model in Clear- Com’s new RS-700 Series of wired, analogue beltpacks for use in applications such as rental/staging, performing arts centres and houses of worship.
Details: The RS-701 is a single-channel beltpack combining high headroom and low-noise audio with rugged design”. Features include swappable microphone options and built-in limiters in the headsets plus wide dynamic range and audio contouring to ensure intelligible voice communications.
K-ARRAY
instrument input and activated using the front panel switch. When not connected, the switch acts like a microphone mute.
And another thing: The PreMax’s thick front panel is supported with a 16 gauge L-frame and the circuit is encased in Galvalume to minimise noise caused by outside
electromagnetic fields. Switches are also encased in steel and the sealed potentiometers employ steel shafts for extra durability. Connection to the frame features double-sided gold contacts for optimal signal flow.

ANAKONDA KAN200
What is it? A flexible array element designed for situations where a traditional enclosure can’t be used but where intelligibility and reliability are required.
Details: The KAN200 is suitable for use with all distributed sound systems – as a stand-alone module or in combination with K-array subwoofers. Speaker elements can be wound around columns or
mounted on curved or irregular- shaped objects. Typical applications include outdoor installations, theme parks and indoor/outdoor
scenography design. The design offers high impedance for long lines and dedicated presets said to work across a wide frequency range.
And another thing:The KAN200 package also includes dedicated wall brackets said to make installation as easy and fast as possible and can be supplied using RAL paint codes for customised applications.

All 700 Series beltpacks feature recessed rotary volume controls as well as Talk and Call keys protected against accidental activation. An LED-off mode is also available for applications where complete darkness is necessary, while a concealed DIP switch on the back of the beltpack allows quick and easy selection of audio and key options including switching between electret or dynamic headset microphones and setting levels for headphone input and microphone output. Call with talk operation and latch or non-latch keying are also available.
And another thing: RS-700 beltpacks are built to be fully compatible with all Clear-Com legacy partyline systems and are protected against damage from accidental connection to other XLR-3 equipped digital systems, such as HelixNet.

Amadeus ML 15 and ML 18 subwoofer systems.
Each system is equipped with two threaded inserts on its bottom side, allowing the addition of optional screw-on adaptors developed by Konig & Meyer. The UDX systems can then be directly placed on a standardised speaker stand, or on a pole placed on a subwoofer.
And another thing: Initially available in a highly resistant black (water- soluble) paint finish, the UDX systems are also available in several different standard colours. Every UDX Series speaker can also be ordered in a made-to-measure finish, based on registered or non-registered colours and/or materials.
