For those clients where playout is part of the commitment — notably PLTV (Premier League Television) and Sport 24 — the transmission servers are Pebble Beach Dolphins with Pebble Beach automation. Shield emphasises that the Main Control Room (MCR) is a very important feature of the IMG Studios facility. “Twelve operator positions are in place to control the switching of a comprehensive fibre network supplied by BT, Eurovision, Hibernia, Globecast and Arqiva — among others.” He adds that IMG has comprehensive streaming capability and
