Grass Valley A NEWsoftware release for the GV Stratus nonlinear production solution will be presented at NAB. The GV Stratus nonlinear production solution delivers greater workflow efficiency by enabling users to work collaboratively and accomplish tasks in parallel. The new release includes powerful new tools to increase workflow efficiency through automated, rules based file operations, and sets a new standard in proxy editing workflows with the introduction of the Edius XS non-linear low resolution proxy editor. Edius XS includes most of the effects capability of the full resolution Edius editor, delivering unmatched capability for newsroom desktop editing and also opening the door to production workflows that have previously required more expensive full resolution editors.

users to safely use the increased power and performance of AFP for high data rate codecs and applications on OS X. By using the Project Browser, multiple editors can safely open the same Premiere Pro project with the assurance that only one editor at a time will get read/write access to the project. Premiere editors can open a locked project in read- only mode in order to review it or copy project elements into their own project. Users can now limit users on Avid Style spaces to read-only access, extending the
same fine-grained user permissions available in other EditShare space types to this Avid workflow. Flow Version 2.3 will benefit from
enhanced frame rate, raster, codec, and wrapper support. Flow 2.3 has vastly improved the range of codec support for SDI Ingest, File-based Ingest, and Scanning functions. Making its NAB debut in 2013 is the all- new ChyronIP, a realtime HD/SD 2D and
3D character and graphics generator specifically designed for the NewTek TriCaster – an all-in-one, integrated live production system that offers the power of a live network studio. ChyronIP is a compact, lightweight system that provides producers with up to two HD or SD full-motion channels of Chyron graphics that stream directly into the TriCaster over a network connection. Because graphics data is delivered via a network connection, broadcasters can take advantage of ChyronIP for TriCaster without tying up any of the needed camera inputs that are critical to live production. Chyron's Lyric PRO graphics application enables users to create live; full-motion Chyron broadcast graphics, 3D animations, and transitions. At this year's show, Chyron will introduce the next generation of its Axis World Graphics cloud-based graphics creation solution. The company will highlight its newest features including track, order, maps, and news. Axis World Graphics enables users to create templates in Chyron's Lyric PRO 8.5 software.
Also being showcased is Engage; Chyron's second screen and social TV gateway, Shout; a standalone software application that enables broadcasters to bring social media commentary into their live broadcasts quickly and easily, and ChannelBox²; a channel branding system that features 2D/3D design with a complete data acquisition toolset for all branding applications.
