BBC STUDIOS and Post Production has appointed Steve Kruger as its post production manager to lead and manage its newly launched post production facility on Charlotte Street, W1. “Steve brings a wealth of expertise in post production, broadcast IT and operations to the role and is well equipped to ensure our workflows best suit our clients’ needs,” said Charlotte Forde, commercial manager at BBC Studios and Post Production.

MELANIE DAYASENA-LOWE has been promoted to editor of TVBEurope, reporting to editorial director Fergal Ringrose. This promotion is in recognition of the level of responsibility Dayasena- Lowe has achieved in the continuing success of TVBEurope magazine and its associated website, enewsletters, conferences and events. Staff Writer Jake Young will continue to report to Dayasena-Lowe and Ringrose. She will take on extra
responsibilities in editorial strategy and development, content commissioning and freelance budgets across the brand.

Systems integrator ATG Broadcast has made two new appointments to its board. Christoffer Kay, director and chief operating officer of parent company Dan Technologies, joins ATG Broadcast as managing director. Current IABM vice chair and former Pro-Bel CEO Graham Pitmanhas joined the board as non-executive chairman.
Avid’s board of directors has appointed
Louis Hernandezas president and chief executive officer. Hernandez succeeds former president and CEO Gary Greenfield, who will remain on Avid’s board of directors. Systems integrator dB Broadcast has strengthened its management with the appointment of Graham Pearl as engineering director. Mike Bryanwill become the head of Solutions with Gareth Evansthe head of Broadcast in the engineering division.

Entertainment Services Group, has appointed Sue Mitchell as account director for Europe. She is responsible for bringing the indexing and discovery software to broadcasters and content owners across Europe. Chris Higgs, currently managing director of itfc in west London, will oversee the unification of Deluxe Media, a new division that integrates the entirety of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group’s content management businesses. Higgs is joined in the management team by Lesley Marr, who takes the role of chief operating officer, and Mazin Al-Jumaili, VP localisation, Europe. Lee Danskin has joined Escape Technology as director of Technology. Danskin has held previous roles such as deputy head of 3D at MPC, head of 3D at Smoke & Mirrors, and CG supervisor at the Film Factory.

James Rowley-Ashwoodto the role of exhibition manager for BVE and BVE North. Rowley-Ashwood replaces Anita Pal, who fulfilled the role as maternity cover, and he now leads the full BVE team, which includes programme director Sophie Milton, senior sales executives Dan Sacchelli and Leon Wright, and sales executive Lloyd Nandr.

Andrew Winterhas joined Software Generation Ltd (SGL) as director of Marketing. Winter was previously director of Marketing at IBIS and has also worked for BBC Presentation (now Red Bee Media). Thanasis Charitakis has also joined SGL as technical architect. Wohler Technologies has promoted Edel Garcia to vice president of worldwide sales for the RadiantGrid New Media Automation Platform business line. Garcia joined Wohler in September 2012 as director of sales for Central and South America.
