PLASA London moves to the ExCeL Centre for the first time this year, but it isn’t just the location that’s new. The AudioLab Arena is also launching in 2013. Described as ‘a space where visitors can fully immerse themselves in sound’, the 2,000sqm facility will allow audio manufacturers to host product demos. The AudioLab Theatre will return with three programmes of content covering Live Sound, Installed Sound and The Sound Business, while AudioLab Interactive has been designed to test pro-audio theory with some lively experiments. More than 250 exhibitors have booked their stands: new names for 2013 include Pioneer, Samsung and Sony.
