The 7th Annual BrokerFest, Atlanta Commercial’s fall networking event, was held on Thursday, October 18 at The Ivy Buckhead. The evening was a “Who’s Who” of local Board members and industry leaders. More than 350 attendees mingled while enjoying the great food and live entertainment from Commercial Board member Liz Love’s band. Multiple door prizes and raffles were held with two attendees winning twice. More than $40,000 was raised to benefit The Dana Smith Cancer Assistance Fund and the Atlanta Board Educational Foundation.
BrokerFest 2012 wouldn’t have been such a great success without the support and commitment of each of our committee volunteers and sponsors. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the BrokerFest Chairman, Jason Whitworth, and Co-Chairman, Greg Herren for their outstanding leadership. 400 NORTH
On Wednesday, October 24, 2012, the 400 North Board’s annual charity auction was held at the beautiful Windermere Golf Club to support helping local children celebrate the upcoming holiday season. A raucous and lively crowd turned out to bid on items in both silent and live auctions in the hopes of picking up a few great bargains. Bidding wars broke out over numerous trips, which included a journey to a South African resort.
While not everyone walked out a bid winner, the children supported by our wonderful charities came out ahead. Benefiting charities include Angels Over Forsyth, Dawson County Kare for Kids, and Lumpkin County Family Connection. The Auction brought together nearly 200 REALTORS and corporate industry leaders and raised over $12,000. Thank you to everyone who made our Annual Auction such a success!
To all those who participated planning the 2012 Auction, thank you. Special recognition to Michelle Herron, Committee Chair, for her outstanding leadership, as well as the entire committee and staff — well done!
