Kubota (UK) announces revised dealer network
Having terminated its construction equipment dealer agreement with Leach Lewis Plant in June, before that long established dealer went into administration in early August, Kubota (UK) Ltd has now confirmed a revised dealer line-up in the former Leach Lewis territory. Lister Wilder, the existing Kubota mini excavator, tractors and
grounds care equipment dealer serving Berkshire, Surrey and the north of Hampshire has had its construction equipment territory extended to include Kent and Sussex. This will be run from its Reading office. Lister Wilder’s Ashford, Kent and Ockham, Guildford depots will now become dedicated Kubota centres, adding mini excavators to its current offerings of tractors and grounds care machines. To ensure continuation of customer support, two former Leach Lewis personnel, Paul Mahoney and Jason Town, have both joined Lister Wilder as a result of this territory expansion.
Having been appointed as a dealer by Kubota (UK) in September last year, to cover Norfolk, Suffolk and part of Essex, Hosplant Sales, based in Peldon, near Colchester, has had its territory expanded to include all of Essex. Joining its team is former Leach Lewis salesman Nigel Booley. The third new appointment is a new start-up business, Boss Plant Sales, headed by MD Graham Stansfield, who also runs welfare cabin manufacturer Boss Cabins. Boss Plant Sales will be based at Long Marston, Tring, which is midway between the former Leach Lewis depots in Waltham Cross and Oxford. Its territory comprises Hertfordshire, south Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and London, within the M25.
A number of former Leach Lewis personnel have also joined Boss Plant. Dave Simms, former Leach Lewis Branch Manager in Oxford, will be the new Depot Manager. Two service and parts staff have also been recruited by the new dealer from the former Leach Lewis Waltham Cross branch. In addition, Mark Rogers, former Leach Lewis Oxford Parts Manager, takes up a similar position Boss Plant.
It is particularly good news that many of the former Leach Lewis Plant sales and service staff have been re-employed within the construction equipment industry, adding experience to the replacement dealerships.
