EXECUTIVE REPORT

SEE US New kids on the block

The Executive Hire Show is firmly established as the place where passionate hirers meet innovative suppliers, and that is one of the main reasons why the event continues to attract new exhibitors who are keen to meet key industry decision- makers.

Pinnacle’s latest addition is the Billy Goat Quietvac.

One of the categories of equipment that hirers consistently say they want

to see at the Show when giving their post-exhibition feedback is garden and grounds care equipment, so there should be keen interest in first-time exhibitor Pinnacle Power Products’ stand.

“The last hire industry show Pinnacle exhibited at would be Hirex in the late 1990s,” MD Ian Lobb told EHN. “Hire is a market we can do more in, and a focused exhibition is the best way of making meaningful contact with industry buyers. A supplier’s sales rep can go round visiting companies, but they might call when the people with buying power are not available. Good exhibitions attract the real decision-makers.

“We believe more hirers can benefit from offering our products, which are robust enough for this industry, unlike some cheaper equipment. Our product display will include Eliet shredders and lawn scarifiers, and Billy Goat machines, whose latest launch is the industrial duty Quietvac leaf and litter vacuum which produces very low noise levels. The machine’s 6-blade steel fan can compress material by a factor of 12:1.”

E.P. Barrus will show the latest Tier 4 compliant Yanmar engines.

Also exhibiting for the first time will be the Industrial Division of E.P. Barrus, whose General Manager, John Day, said, “It is a great opportunity for us to

Many new exhibitors will be at the Executive Hire Show in February, looking forward to building good contacts with hire professionals. Alan Guthrie talked to some of them.

update hirers on the latest advances within the engine ranges that we offer, including Yanmar diesel models from 4-82hp, John Deere diesels from 40-600hp, and Kawasaki petrol engines from 3-30hp.

“We will explain how these manufacturers have addressed key issues like noise, fuel consumption and emissions. One of the highlights will be the John Deere sets that meet the stringent Interim Tier4/Stage lll B regulations, and which are used, for example, by SDMO (also exhibiting at the Show) in some of its popular Rental Spec generators. Indeed, the exhibition enables us to support other exhibitors with equipment incorporating our engines, such as Altrad Belle, ArcGen Hilta, GreenMech, Harrington Generators International and Stephill Generators, by explaining the support and backup we provide.”

A company making a re-appearance will be Phoenix Survey & Safety Equipment, which is returning after a break of three years. It was acquired by Brandon Hire last year. “This is one of the industry’s flagship events and, as a result, we need to have a strong presence at the 2013 Show,” said Commercial Director, Peter Huda. “The last 12 months have been particularly exciting for Phoenix, with a period of growth as we have opened new branches across the country. We will display a range of innovative products, enabling us to take full advantage of the opportunities the Show gives exhibitors in gaining new business and developing stronger customer relationships.”

Phoenix Survey & Safety Equipment is focused on building stronger customer relationships.

Exhibiting for the first time is Dual Pumps, whose Sales Manager, Matt Smith told EHN, “Some of our personnel have attended the Show in the past as visitors, as an opportunity to see exhibitors we deal with, such as pressure washer manufacturers. We are a distributor for Interpump, which makes the high-pressure pumps commonly incorporated on this kind of equipment, and we provide manufacturers with spares backup for filters, connectors and other
