EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW NEWS LATEST FROM SHOW PR LOUISE MURPHY

Louise Murphy updates EHN readers on the latest exciting developments and attractions to be seen at the UK’s premier hire event, taking place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 February 2013. The Executive Hire Show has become something of a Mecca

for hire industry professionals, and each year support for the event grows as more blue chip companies sign on the dotted line to exhibit. As we go to press, more than 15 new exhibitors have committed to attend the event, alongside Show veterans, raising the total exhibitor numbers to more than 120. The event is on track to be the biggest ever, with the main hall having sold out in record time and the Top Tier of the event now filling up. The 2013 exhibition is also celebrating 40 years of hire industry shows since the very first Hirex took place at Syon Park, Middlesex, in February 1973. The 2012 Executive Hire Show attracted a total of 1,752 visitors and of those, 91% were independent hirers. The 2013 exhibition hopes to significantly increase this number, as more dedicated hirers make the pilgrimage to the Ricoh Arena. The Show organising team can confirm that many leading tool and equipment brands which hirers want to see are exhibiting, including Altrad Belle, DeWalt, Fairport Construction, Higher Concept Software, Hilti, The Hire Supply Company, Husqvarna, Makita, Metabo and Wacker Neuson. Plant and machinery manufacturers are also well represented, including Ammann, Avant Tecno, Bomag, Doosan Infracore, JCB, Thwaites and Volvo, as well as Manitou, which is exhibiting for the first time.

Other companies making their Show debut include Bull Products, Diager, Postpullers UK, TDL and Thermobile. Access equipment will also be prominent, with exhibiting companies including Access Platform Sales, AFI Uplift, Euro Towers, Lyte Ladders and Towers, Power Towers, The Access Platform Company and Youngman. New products to be unveiled include the Hercules from Postpullers UK, designed for removing concrete, wooden, and steel fence posts, including concrete footings up to 60cm wide, in less than two minutes. GreenMech will display its new Arborist wood chippers, while Groundsman Industries will launch the TMC24 professional turf cutter. Gantic- AS will showcase three new models of its GantiCharger, designed to give optimum charging of lead acid batteries and extending their useful life. Details of other launches from first-time exhibitors are given in our article on page 21. As well as showing new products that could represent major revenue opportunities, many exhibitors will offer

‘Show-only’ deals, which make it even more important to attend. Visitor registration is now open on the Show website at

www.executivehireshow.co.uk and entry to the exhibition is free, as is on-site car parking. On the website you can also see the comprehensive and growing exhibitor list, the latest Show news, and floor plans to help you plan your visit and make full use of your time. We’ll see you there as we celebrate 40 years of hire industry exhibitions, and with so many new things to see and benefit from, the 2013 Show will be totally unmissable, so put the dates of 6 and 7 in your diary now!
