“This is the second year running that our students have had the opportunity to work alongside Rowan and The Campaign for Wool. The response to the project has been overwhelming and it has been fantastic to witness such a creative journey. It has been interesting to see how young designers have used traditional hand knitting techniques to produce innovative and contemporary fashion and interior products. As knitwear designers the selection of yarn within the design process is a means of creative expression and it has been a pleasure for our students to be able to work with such luxurious fi bres. Being involved with The Campaign for Wool has allowed our students to consider the wider impact that the selection of yarn may have upon the environment and wool growers. By promoting wool and its sustainable qualities this project has nurtured a more responsible approach to design. Nottingham Trent University would like to thank Marie Wallin and Rowan for their continued support”
