Where are you from? I am from Brighton.


What were your reasons for studying design at Nottingham Trent University? Knitwear is the best thing ever! I love how you can design every aspect of it from being creative with the yarn, to the choice of stitch and to the fi nal garment. This is why I chose to study on the Fashion Knitwear Design and Knitted Textiles course at Nottingham Trent University.


Your 3rd year is spent on placement, where are you currently


working? I am currently doing a placement year at a knitwear studio where I’m designing all the time! Being surrounded by creative people and exciting knitwear is the best job!


What do you feel about Rowan and the Rowan project? I really enjoyed doing this project for Rowan.


What was the inspiration behind your fi nal design? The theme for both of my designs was based on the working miners and the mining industry. The inspiration came from the mines, the caves, the machinery and the miner’s uniforms.


What are your hopes and dreams for your future career in design? As long as I can pursue a career in fashion and knitwear, I will be happy!
