Business

after a year in the commerce wilderness, she was unexpectedly contacted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Simon Dolan, the man who invests in 140-character pitches on Twitter. After a few short tweet pitches, Dolan

appeared at her London home with a proposition for a new luxury gifting brand comprised of fragrances, cosmetics and jewellery designed to ‘celebrate women for their achievements and aspirations and for being all that they are’. Dolan knew of Lowe’s brilliant achievements and asked her to develop the brand and provide it with the true essence of a strong woman. Shortly after this meeting of minds, the She

Who Dares brand was born with Lowe at the helm. In discussing the inspiration for the brand,

In what is a relatively short career which has

seen a rollercoaster ride through the rise, fall and rise of Rachel Lowe, the one thing which always seems to triumph is her relentless desire to succeed. Having regained control of RTL Games, which she manages alongside She Who Dares, Lowe is looking to broaden the global exposure of both avenues in the coming year. Indeed she really is the living embodiment

of the She Who Dares brand and when considering the possibility of world domination, she offers this philosophical mantra, “Never give up – Nothing is impossible! And when things get a little rough, just remember, life is not waiting for the storm to pass… it is learning to dance in the rain.”

Lowe sates, “When I developed the product range for She Who Dares I wanted to give people the opportunity to acknowledge and honour the women in their lives who inspire them and who they are proud of and to give women receiving the gifts that same emotion and sense of worth that I felt when I received my MBE. “I chose to launch a fragrance, as this is one of the most competitive markets, so it is an exciting challenge! Te launch fragrance is called ‘Eminence’ and my ambition is for this to sit alongside the other fine fragrance brands. I believe that nothing is impossible and this is very much the message behind the brand. All of our products are beautifully gift box and a She Who Dares gift says ‘I believe in you’. If you want to give the perfect gift, honour her with ‘Eminence’.” Lowe admits that this is a huge change of

tack from her original venture; however no expense has been spared in crafting every inch of this powerful feminine brand. “I have gone through an almighty process with the product development. Te biggest

challenge has been the fragrance as I wanted a bespoke bottle and cap which have been designed to capture the brand icon, which is a contemporary rose. It was important to me that we could do this, as the rose is our symbol of recognition. It features within all of the products. I hope that when the brand is established, if you spot a woman wearing our rose pendant for example, you with think to yourself ‘I wonder what she did, she was given that for a reason’. Our rose is our icon of acknowledgement and recognition. “I have styled the colour pallet so that it has a

classic, timeless look. Tere is no age boundary for She Who Dares. You don’t stop being fab because you turn 40, and just because you are 17 doesn’t mean you haven’t achieved something… you can still jump out of a plane when you are 90! So having a brand accessible across a wide market gives us that point of difference.” After much praise by the national press, She

Who Dares accessories look set to be on every woman’s Christmas list this year, and once again Rachel Lowe has triumphed through adversity.
