news LONDON Burberry Regent Street Store Burberry creates a walk-in website

Classic British brand Burberry has opened its largest and most digitally enhanced store in Regent Street. Located in a Grade II listed building, awash with antiquity, the shop was renovated by the finest British craftsmen to restore its historic features with a digital edge. Dubbed ‘Burberry World Live’ by the brand, the store aims to blur the physical and digital by mirroring the online experience in-store.

The store offers an extraordinary shopping experience from sporadic Burberry weather ‘moments’, with digital rain showers - accompanied by the sounds of a thunderstorm, or changing room mirrors that flip over to display images of the specific piece on the catwalk. Other highlights include a display of trench coats dating back to the early 1900s and a bespoke section, where customers can tailor their own coat with trimmings of all colours and finishes.

The untouched mystery of Myanmar continues to unravel thanks to a new river cruiser from Orient- Express. The small, intimate cruiser named Orcaella, after the dolphins known to inhabit the Ayeyarwady River, will begin cruising next summer allowing visitors to sail to the exotic waters and reach what was once unreachable.

Guests can also take a break from the waters and explore Myanmar either to witness a traditional Novitiation Ceremony of local monks, visit a local ‘tea-shop’ experience, trekking through the jungle, play 9-holes at an old colonial golf course, or to meet working elephants in the Burmese teak forest.
