Essie’s flagship salon in NewYork features love seats dyed in Essie’s most iconic shades.


Refuel at The Garage


An upcycled quintessential English Spa is set to open this November in rural Co. Durham.


The Garage will combine rustic charm with luxurious and innovative Spa facilities, and is located at an ancient stopping station at Greta Bridge, previously used as a refuelling and repairing point for the country’s first motorcars travelling between London and Scotland.


The Spa, designed by Blue Spa & Leisure, will comprise five single treatment rooms and one couples suite with outdoor bath for two. Treatments include a CarWash shower experience, dry float room, Paint Shop nail bar and Blow Dry bar. New innovations, and a first in the UK, is the Shepherd’s Hut log sauna set in the beautiful Secret Garden complete with hanging pods with fur throws.


Artistic Colour Gloss shade Sassy was amongst the stars of a campaign to promote Belfast FashionWeek earlier this year.


Gorgeous shots of model Laurina Kennedy perfectly captured the pastel trend, a key look for the Spring / Summer fashions that were featured on the catwalk.


Not only was this ‘Sassy’ look seen all over town, as the photos were used on billboards and in print advertising to promote Belfast FashionWeek, butArtistic Colour Gloss was name- checked in a full page feature in the Belfast Telegraph’s Weekend magazine.Make up artist PaddyMcGurgan gave readers a full run down on how to get Laurina’s look, sharing his behind the scenes secrets from the shoot.


An excellent extravaganza


Debbie Davies, EducationManager for Sweet Squared, and Samantha Sweet, Communications Director, took part in a three-day CND Education Extravaganza. Two other members of the CND team, KellyWinterburn and FeeWallace were there to facilitate.


“It is always an inspiring time when we learn anything new with CND,” says Samantha.

Jessica essentials


Jessica came up trumps in the 2012 Essentials Beauty Top 100, with Quick Dry and Phenomen Oil each taking an award.


The expert panel praised Quick Dry, saying: “No more smudges with this genius nail oil”. Phenomen Oil shared the spotlight as judges advised “get your cuticles in tip-top condition with this nourishing treatment.”


Essie in New York


Essie have opened their very first flagship nail salon on the Upper East side in its hometown of NewYork City.


The salon, designed by interior designer PeterMillard, features bright white lacquered interiors highlighted with leather love seats dyed in Essie’s most iconinc shades, fromMademoiselle toA-list. The location offers 250 shades of Essie nail polish, as well as manicures and pedicures.


EssieWeingarten, Founder and Global Creative Director of Essie Cosmetics, commented: “This is a day I have long lived for. It is such a surreal experience for me to walk down East 65th Street (betweenMadison and Park) inManhattan, and see my name on the awning of a salon! It’s the first Essie salon of its kind in the world.”
