Lumiance has introduced the LumiPanel, a stylish family of ultra-slim LED panels, available in both round and square formats, suitable for surface-mounting, recessing or suspending. Installer celebrates EC-Eau win with Dimplex
Dimplex has given one lucky installer the opportunity to keep in touch while on the move, with a prize of an iPad in a draw that marked the launch of its new range of EC- Eau water cylinders.
The prize was won by Aldo Keates of Coventry-based Allgas, who said: ‘I’ve been using Dimplex equipment for years, both heaters and cylinders. I like the products, they’re very good to install, and of course my customers know the name. The EC-Eau cashback promotion was even more reason to choose Dimplex cylinders, but I never expected to win anything! It was a very pleasant surprise.’
Aldo received his prize from Dimplex managing director Stuart Mackenzie and Steve Clement, regional manager at Dimplex Water Heating, at the manufacturer’s Southampton headquarters. Dimplex also arranged for Aldo to have personalised, one-on-one training on air source heat pumps and solar PV from the renewables team.

Martindale offers no resistance in supplying quality tester
Now
available from Martindale Electric is the new Metrohm E1612, a
handheld and portable Earth Resistance Tester.
Claimed to be exceptionally easy and simple to use, the unit is micro- processor-
controlled and includes advanced safety features, while its large integral LCD screen shows both test options and results.
The new E1612 is powered by 8 x 1.5V LR6/AA batteries, which are included and is supplied in a kit with four spikes and connecting cables, all enclosed in a tough and durable carry case. Also included with the kit is a comprehensive and fully illustrated instruction book, showing how to carry out earth testing with two and three spikes, and how to measure soil resistivity using four spikes.
Compact and lightweight, the E1612 measures 250 (L) x 190 (W) mm and weighs less than 1.5kg complete with batteries, making it ideally suited for field use.
