HE THREE ORLANDO-AREA Rosen Hotels & Resorts con- vention properties are abuzz with new developments — which serve only to com- plement the impeccable ser- vice and exceptional value for which the company has long been known. Leading off the
renovation charge: By the end of this year, all three properties will have Wi-Fi in all of their guest rooms. Furthermore, Rosen Hotels & Resorts continues
to reinvent itself with new offers, amenities, and more. Groups booking an Orlando meeting in 2011 at Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre, or Rosen Shingle Creek can take advantage of the same package for 2013. (See the websites listed at the bottom of this page for details.) Rosen Plaza has renovated its Café Matisse
and completed a floor-to-ceiling renovation of all 800 guest rooms, hallways, and hospitality suites. Guest rooms now feature new 32-inch flat-screen TVs, mini-refrig- erators, laptop-sized safes, furnishings, carpet, and crown molding; and guest baths have been remodeled to evoke an upscale spa. The ever-popular Jack’s Place restaurant has an expanded menu that includes tantalizing options like a 16-ounce veal chop and sesame- crusted tuna. Rosen Centre features the new, 316-foot Rosen Centre Sky-
walk, which connects the hotel with the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) West Building. The covered pedestrian bridge allows guests to arrive at the OCCC in less than four minutes after leaving their rooms. The recently opened, upscale 98Forty Tapas & Tequila Bar is a hot spot for sophisticated tapas-style dishes that meld Mexi- can and Spanish flavors. Rosen Centre’s lobby has undergone a com- plete contemporary refurbishment. Rosen Shingle Creek is just one mile from the OCCC. This lush,
230-acre, AAA Four-Diamond property, with the debuts of Banrai Sushi and Tobias Flats, now can claim two of the hottest new restau- rants in Orlando. Banrai features signature items such as the Shingle Creek Roll with alligator meat, along with more than a dozen tra- ditional sushi dishes and 16 nigiri sushi/sashimi choices. “Old Flor- ida” meets a new world of tastes at Tobias Flats, which serves up all forms of flatbreads topped with innovative ingredients. n
