10 APRIL: PALM SPRINGS Andrew Sadowski, 70, was arrested at Palm Springs International Airport after a loaded handgun was found in his briefcase at a security checkpoint.


10 APRIL: LOS ANGELES Hiram Sanchez, 46, was arrested when he allegedly refused to show his passport at Los Angeles International Airport following his arrival off an Emirates fl ight from Dubai. A physical struggle ensued, in which two offi cers were injured.


10 APRIL: YEREVAN Two Makarov fi rearms were found in the luggage of a passenger boarding a fl ight to Moscow.


12 APRIL: MEMPHIS


Bryan Allen Sisco, 40, was sentenced to fi ve years' probation and fi ned $25,000 for his threatening behaviour on a Delta Airlines fl ight, en route from Dallas to Atlanta, in May 2011.


Sisco had been intoxicated at the time and the crew opted to divert to Memphis when he told a passenger he had a gas canister that could put everyone onboard asleep.


12 APRIL: LOS ANGELES Johanna Woolfolk was sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service for falsely reporting that her husband was carrying a bomb on board an AirTran Airways fl ight departing from Los Angeles International Airport in November 2011.


13 APRIL: ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND William Taylor was jailed for four months for his drunken behaviour on a fl ight between Bergen and Aberdeen.


14 APRIL: CHICAGO David Lipka, 29, was arrested at O'Hare International Airport after he ripped an exit sign off the interior of a Spirit Airlines aircraft he had just disembarked.


20 APRIL: FLORIDA Carol Jean Price, 59, was arrested and charged with battery and resisting an offi cer after she allegedly groped a TSA agent at Southwest Florida International Airport. Price had been upset that she had been selected for a patdown search and, having asked to speak to a supervisor, then demonstrated what had happened to her on the supervisor, grabbing her leg and crotch area.

20 APRIL: COMPTON, CALIFORNIA Troy Daniel Long was arrested for attempting to steal a 2-seater Cessna 152 from Compton/Woodley Airport. Long allegedly took keys for the aircraft and, when staff confronted him, he then threatened them with a gun.


21 APRIL: SINGAPORE Two Chinese passengers, on different fl ights, were arrested for alleged theft on board Singapore Airlines fl ights. In both instances, bags of other passengers were removed from overhead lockers in-fl ight and thefts attempted.


3 MAY: SAN ANTONIO Manolín Jesús Villaverde, 37, pleaded guilty to charges relating to his behaviour on a Continental Airlines en route from Houston to Ontario in January. The fl ight had diverted to San Antonio after he refused to extinguish the cigarette he had lit in the aircraft toilets. He eventually had to be restrained.


5 MAY: BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA A man was arrested due to his aggressive behaviour at Baton Rouge Metro Airport.


7 MAY: LOUISVILLE


Kevin Sims, 23, was charged with disorderly conduct after he became abusive towards a gate agent after he missed his fl ight.


9 MAY: WELLINGTON Fiso Fiso, 39, was ordered to pay NZ$1500 to a 22-year-old woman he had assaulted on a fl ight from Sydney to Wellington on 28 January. Drunk at the time, he is reported to have touched her cleavage and inner thigh.


11 MAY: RICHMOND, CANADA Moira Gentry, 70, was charged in respect of a January incident in which she is alleged to have grabbed an Air Canada fl ight attendant around the neck during a fl ight from London to Vancouver.


13 MAY: NASHVILLE


Ram Porat, a 28-year-old Israeli, was arrested after being found on board an American Airlines aircraft at Nashville International Airport. Asked by police what


he was doing onboard the aircraft, Porat answered, "I own the world." He was charged with an airport security violation, vandalism and trespassing into a restricted area.


14 MAY: GEORGIA, USA


Henry Jones, 51, was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for making out to federal authorities that he had been hired by terrorists to build a bomb that would bring down an aircraft.


14 MAY: NEWARK


Bimbo Oyelwole, 54, was arrested when it emerged that the illegal immigrant from Nigeria had been using a dead man’s identity for 20 years and was employed at the airport as a security supervisor.


18 MAY: BUFFALO Brett Dieter, a 52-year-old Piedmont Airlines pilot, was arrested at Buffalo Niagara International Airport after a .357 magnum was found in his bag, loaded with fi ve rounds.
