SHURE HAS revealed that Scottish operation The Warehouse is officially the first to take delivery of the new Axient systems, as well as being recognised as a certified Axient-trained dealer. The Warehouse provides systems of up to eight channels supporting all the features of the range. The Shure Axient Wireless
Management System began shipping around the world in early 2012. Companies offering the system have to be trained in its use before they can offer it for hire or sale. Axient systems offer a unique set of RF interference management tools, including the

ability to simultaneously transmit a signal on two separate frequencies. “Axient is a huge leap in
wireless microphone technology,
and we want to ensure that anyone who owns Axient is fully competent in the setup, operation and troubleshooting of the system,” explained Tuomo Tolonen, Shure UK’s applications and product planning manager. As of early May, The
Warehouse has booked Axient systems out on several projects. “We’re delighted to be the first
UK hire company to carry Axient – as a wireless system, it’s streets ahead of what everybody else has to offer,” said Derek Blair, sales director at The Warehouse. www.shure.co.ukwww.warehousesound.co.uk

Course leader Richard Carter and Orbital’s technical director Bill Addison led the training, which included presentations from d&b audiotechnik, Yamaha Commercial Audio and Shure.
“We also introduced a new module this year – on rigging – which proved to be very popular, and we had guest lectures from sound designers including the National Theatre’s Rich Walsh and Rick Clarke,” said Carter. Orbital will also be introducing a new training course later this year – Mixing Musicals – taking place in late October. www.orbitalsound.co.uk
