livenews UNITED KINGDOM Swift sales for SSE By Erica Basnicki

SSE experienced a couple of speedy sales this month, having delivered a Soundcraft Vi6 console and a complete Midas PRO6 package within 14 days of each other. MAC Sound purchased the Soundcraft desk, after a two- week trial of SSE’s hire stock. The newly purchased Soundcraft Vi6 has a total of 96 input channels via one 64/32 stagebox, plus one compact 32/8 stagebox. It is currently on tour until July with a production of Leonard Bernstein‘s musical comedy, Wonderful Town.

Prior to the Soundcraft sale, long-term Midas user Scalable Sound Systems purchased a complete Midas PRO6 package comprising the PRO6 console, a Klark Teknik DN9650 network bridge and Sigma Fabrications flightcases. “It has been very positive

experience working with SSE on this purchase, they have been

very supportive and reassuringly transparent,” said James Morle, Scalable’s founder. www.midasconsoles.com www.soundcraft.com www.sseaudiogroup.com

Runcorn-based five-piece Stoneway took top honours, winning £750 (€930) of Yamaha musical equipment and a live set on the Terrace of the House of Commons on the evening of 30 May.
