“As soon as I heard that Mr Boote was looking to offload one of the UK’s great orchestral recording studios, the warning lights flashed”

A LITTLE WORRIED this month. Bit concerned. Worried about the AES in Europe (though I think you might have picked that up previously). Some observers might question why we keep banging on about the AES, when it seems to have done its best to dig its own grave. So I’m very pleased that the new ED, Bob Moses, has spoken exclusively to us about his plans for the society. That starts over the page. Worried about Line 6 venturing into new territory, with its NAMM-launched loudspeaker/mixer product. Luckily, we got to review the StageSource L3t before anyone else in Europe. Dave Arcari cranks it up on p10. Worried about Air. As soon as I heard that Mr Boote was looking to offload one of the UK’s great orchestral recording studios, the warning lights flashed. But, as he has done in the past, Richard called me to set the record straight. I can’t say I entirely agree with his decision, but, all the same, you can read his reasons for changing course on p17. MPG Award winner Geoff Foster recalls halycon days at the facility on p66. I was worried about gaining access to The Great Escape. However, technical head Jon Crawley not only took time out to talk about the event, he also shared his thoughts on how it can grow. Read his ideas on p42. I’m worried that you haven’t downloaded our iPad app. I’m in your hands there, gentle reader. So, help me out. Install the PSNEuropeapp ASAP, please. Thanks. Erica, our staff writer, is in Azerbaijan as we speak, attending Eurovision. Despite the glitz of the Song Contest, press reports suggest it can be a scary place. Worried? Not at all. Erica will sort ‘em out...
