High-pressure component cleaning

Another first time exhibitor was Safetykleen, providing a preview of its Jetkleen high-power aqueous parts washer, which it says will clean components around 10 times more quickly than any conven- tional system. The company claims its new product offers major time and cost savings to manufacturers, refurbishment specialists and maintenance departments in the rail industry. The Jetkleen unit houses a high- pressure hand-held washer in a spacious stainless steel cabinet, enabling precision manipulation and cleaning components of a wide range of sizes. Its aqueous fluid operation means that it is safe and fume- free and the speed of operation enables dismantled components to be cleaned, examined and reassembled quickly, reducing equipment down time. Jetkleen units are supplied under a rental service agreement that includes maintenance, fluid replacement, waste removal and compliance paperwork. Safetykleen’s Marketing Director Leon McMahon said: “We are very excited about our presence at Infrarail and our further expansion into the rail sector, both in terms of specialist cleaning services and waste management. That expansion will be supported by our recent acquisition of Partswash UK, which allows us to deliver tailored and bespoke solutions for specialist applications.”
