New COO for BBC Studios and Post Production


DAVID CONWAY has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for BBC Studios and Post Production. He will be responsible for leading and managing business support functions including finance, HR, business systems and procurement and report into the CEO. Conway has been a non-executive member of the BBC Studios and Post Production board since summer 2011 and is currently head of Investment and Major Projects within BBC Corporate Finance. He previously held a senior role with Bacardi- Martini in their corporate development team.


RAGHU RAUhas been appointed permanent CEO of SeaChange International. First appointed interim CEO of SeaChange last November, Rau has led an aggressive strategy to focus the company on its core software business while significantly reducing the overall cost structure of the company. He will also retain his seat on the company’s board of directors. “In a matter of just a few months, Raghu has dramatically improved SeaChange’s overall operations and its ability to serve global markets, to the immediate benefit of our customers as well as our

Telestream announced the forming of Telestream GmbH, a fully-owned subsidiary of Telestream, Inc on 11 April to support long-term business growth in Europe. The expanded operations provide European-based technical support services, managed by Michael Wambach, for Telestream’s enterprise-class video capture, transcoding, workflow automation and management products. Wambach and his team of engineers come to Telestream from Cross Atlantic Medien, which has served as Telestream’s European- based technical support services organisation since 2003. Dominique Giral has been appointed sales manager for the territory of France and will oversee the sales of TV One products into this area. Giral will be based in Paris and be responsible for maintaining and developing new business within the French market.

Alpermann + Velte has hired Gilbert Viegas as the new sales manager at its branch office in London. Viegas previously served as the sales manager for South America and the UK at Eyeheight.


dB Broadcast has added further expertise to its in-house engineering team with the arrival of Dave Allister. He joined dB early in 2012 and has been working on a London-based project, where he is responsible for migrating a number of playout channels.

Visual Unity has consolidated its position in the Middle East and Asia by appointing Jamal Bnari to the position of head of Sales and Marketing for both regions. He has extensive experience in new media technology strategy, innovation and product development and will be based at Visual Unity’s office in Media City, Dubai. He joins Visual Unity from the Etisalat Group. VSN has hired Carles Rams as Technology & Professional Services director. Rams joins the IT company from Spanish national TV La Sexta, where he was technical and exploitation manager in Barcelona. At VSN he will lead the project department while coordinating consulting tasks for the implementation of new VSN applications platform Spider.
