Record-breakingshow returns toDublin

This March, Dublin welcomed a record- breaking Irish Beauty Show. Over 9,300 beauty trade visitors packed into the RDS Simmonscourt over two days.

Visitors not only had the opportunity to stock up on salon essentials and seasonal product launches, but also watched demonstrations of the latest beauty equipment, treatment protocols and product innovations. Many commented that this was the busiest show they'd attended to date.

Exhibitors were also delighted with the show. Celia Rose of Dermalogica commented: "It's been an amazing show. We've been absolutely delighted with the response from our visitors to the stand today. Meeting a lot of our existing accounts, which is always great, but also meeting new people who are starting out with new businesses or looking to expand their existing business."

“It's been very exciting; lots of new and interesting leads, and our existing customers are thrilled with the launch of our new peels," said Danielle Randall of Nimue. "Very, very busy. Literally on the go all day long so very, very pleased."

Marina Egan of Creative Academy added: "It's been fantastic. We have had a phenomenal show and we've sold out

20

of our new colours, so it's been a great show for Shellac and CND."

"It's been absolutely fantastic; great show," Oonagh Clarke of French Cosmetics Distributors told us. "This is our 17th year doing shows so as you can imagine I've experienced the highs and the lows so this has been really, really great for us, especially for skin care and for Bronz’ Express, our tan which is 50 years on the market. We have loads of leads for Yumi Lashes - our lash treatment - also skin care has been very, very good for us this year, so I'm looking forward to coming back next year!"

Shane Brady of Revive Beauty added: "It went very well for us, our sales were very good with our Wild Tanning product."

The NSI Hair, Nail & Beauty stand was extremely busy, as Louisa Flanagan commented: "Our stand has been absolutely flying, and even on Monday, which is normally a quieter day, we've been so, so busy so we're delighted."

The show was also good for new businesses introducing their products into Ireland, as Katie Jane Goldin of Great Lengths explained: "It's been great, it's been a really good opportunity for us to be honest. We're only in Ireland now since November so we're really

taking off, we're rolling out across the country and this has been a great, great platform for us to start with. The show's been brilliant."

Education is always popular at the Irish Beauty Show, as Leanne Purcell of The Beauty Boutique told us: "We've had a lot of leads, a lot of people booking courses because we had a lot of show specials on this weekend. But not only that, we've had a lot of colleges looking to book and group bookings for courses, so we've a lot of leads we have to get onto this week."

Oli Jones of Crownbrush concluded: "The guys at Irish Beauty have done a great job in getting lots of people through the door this year." Siobhan Kenny from Belfast was the lucky winner of the Crownbrush free prize draw held on their stand.
