VIEW FROM THE UNIVERSITY: VIEWS FROM THE STUDENTS:
RICHARD BAKER: “The degree course content not only expands your knowledge; it tests any pre-conceived theories that you may already have. It’s hard to imagine at the beginning just how much time is required to research, read and write each report. However, after just 12 months I feel that I have increased my business acumen and performance which has led towards posi-
tive changes in the business.”
PETER JOY: “The knowledge I have gained from the degree has given me an increased self-awareness which has allowed me to reflect on my leadership style and apply the academic prin- ciples to everyday situations. The most interesting areas so far for me have been coach- ing and team development. I wholeheartedly believe in the potential we have within our organisation.”
Rachael Hall, Programme Leader for Lord Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University: “It has been so rewarding to work with Volvo CE in developing and now delivering the degree. Our approach towards work based
learning degrees is shaped by the belief that the world of work and the world of learning naturally reinforce one another and that a key element of being a successful Business School is to work at the interface of business theory and practice.
Our focus for the programme has, therefore, been on developing and evolving an approach that presents the delegates with learning and development opportunities that blur the boundary between business theory and the practice of management. We believe that this is achieved by a flexible and innovative approach that puts our clients’ and delegates needs first.”
“We engaged closely with the Volvo HR team to identify the organisations needs and requirements to ensure that the degree programme aligned with these, and the overall strategy.”
“The corporate programmes team are thoroughly enjoying working with the Volvo CE delegates. The standard and quality of the work from the delegates is truly impressive and a real testimony to both the students and the Organisations commitment to this programme.”
