ENGAGING OUR TEAM
Welcome to edition 18 of the VOICE magazine – the voice of Volvo Construction Equipment in GB.
Over the past three years we have committed ourselves to spend time on preparing for the upturn making significant investments in training our people and making the Company a place where people really want to work.
In short it’s all about engagement – encouraging every employee to take responsibility for everything they do whilst making a positive impact on the future prosperity of our business which in turn benefits you – our customer. And as far as we are concerned there is only one customer for Volvo – not a sales customer or a parts or service customer. There is only one customer and we work as a team across all areas of the business to make you our focus. Having highly engaged people in a motivated team is the very best way of providing our customers with great service.
I am delighted and immensely proud therefore to announce that Volvo Construction Equipment here in GB has been ranked 46th in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for 2012 and a full account of the steps everyone in our ‘Team’ took to achieve this accolade can be found in this edition of the VOICE.
I can assure you that this achievement isn’t just a one off either. We are already fully engaged on the findings from the independent surveys and will be working hard on improving our standing for 2013 and beyond.
On a different tack, the 2012 show and exhibition season is upon us and besides the Intermat exhibition taking place in Paris this month we will have a major presence at both Scot Plant in Edinburgh the week later and of course Hillhead at Buxton in June. The opportunity for our business here in GB to showcase the latest offerings in terms of new machinery along with our soft offerings has never been greater and we hope you will be able to visit us at either event to find out more.
