about the cost effectiveness of some forms of renewable sources, the EfW market is now becoming increasingly attractive as a key growth area. With significant incentives on offer through the Renewable Heat Incentive and the emerging Green Deal, now is the time for manufacturers and farmers, engineers and land owners to meet the renewables challenge.

LAUNCH OF ENERGY FROM WASTE 2013

F

aversham House is pleased to announce the launch of an exhibition dedicated to the energy from waste (EfW) industry, Energy from Waste Expo 2013. The

exhibition will co-locate with the fast growing energy and water exhibitions, NEMEX and IWEX and will be held at the NEC, Birmingham on 16-18 April 2013. NEMEX, IWEX and now Energy from Waste Expo are the independent exhibitions that form Sustainability Live. With the EU directive requirement for 15% of UK energy from renewables by 2020 and continued concerns

The new launch is aligned with the Energy from Waste guidance that Defra in association with WRAP are providing, offering clarity to the industry on technology options and best practice. Designed so that buyers and specifiers can make the most of their day covering EfW in all its forms, the event is set to become the largest EfW event in the UK, with the leading practitioners, innovators and visionaries all co-located at the NEC, providing a truly integrated offering for exhibitors and visitors alike. Energy from Waste Expo 2013 will form the largest gathering of suppliers and practitioners across the industry, with best practice solutions covering the whole spectrum from advanced thermal treatment such as anaerobic digestion, in-vessel composting, gasification and MBT as well as pre-treatment processes feeding into these thermal recovery technologies. With Biomass tipped to be a big winner for the Renewable Heat Incentive, the event launches precisely as the market ignites for likely demand by businesses, schools, hospitals and other public buildings.
