The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can direct, coordinate and exercise functional authority for design, planning, organization, control, and integration for the completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. This person will perform the duties personally or through liaison with other engineers, designers, consultants, suppliers or others as needed. This person will formulate engineering solutions to problems and develop plans according to project requirements. This may involve technical studies, calculations and research. Must possess strong commu- nication skills; interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal skills. A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Engineering required. Four plus years of industry experience preferred. CASTING ENGINNERING MANAGER—A Northeast Wisconsin Foundry seeks a Casting Engineer to as- sist in activities relating to the design and improve- ment of gating, risering and chilling systems for new and existing tooling. Successful candidate will continuously seek out, identify, and communicate process changes that will improve productivity, quality, cost, health, safety and environmental performance. Responsible for developing job cost estimates for tooling and castings and the design of new tooling to ensure dimensional accuracy through the use of computerized simulation. Ex- perience in Manufacturing Engineering required. The ideal candidate for this role is at least 10 years into their career with preferably at least 5 years of recent cast iron foundry experience. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a strong plus. Metallurgical background along with Lean and Visual Factory pre- ferred.
