alloys, processes, and engineering and management topics. AFS focused on business operations on its Manage- ment Day, April 19, which included workshops on conserving energy and shipping quality castings and the AFS President's Session panel on the state of the metalcasting industry. More than 200 companies exhibited
at this year’s Metalcasting Congress, including 29 metalcasting facilities showcasting their capabilities in the Cast in North America section of the exhibit floor. Te 2012 Casting
Competition’s Casting of the Year, Best-in-Class and Honorable Mention honorees also were on display. At the close of the conference, AFS
